With an abundance of sunshine, panoramic sacred scenery and a raw ancient heart, there is no mistake as to why Zimbabwe is home to one of the seven wonders of the world. Zimbabwe is a landlocked country with South Africa to the South, Botswana to the West, Zambia to the north, Mozambique to the east and roots of the Zambezi River and Limpopo rivers streaming deep and undisturbed throughout the forever-green country. 

Zimbabwe enriched with an ancient nomadic history holds the title of being the breadbasket of African Art. From bush-man illustrations sketched on rock exteriors during the stone age to ubiquitous stone sculptures from The Kingdom of Mapungubwe, the presence of ancient Zimbabwean history still echoes down centuries into the countries current contemporary art. 

The Zimbabwean artisan describes their work as “revealing the beauty”, this is closely linked to their spirituality as they believe the spirit of their ancestors can be found within the material that they utilise making every detail conspired with a traditional conviction.
